- Missionary John Cuddeford (UBC FOCUS Club): Give thanks for his fruitful ministry at UBC and as the City Director. Pray for his retirement and the new leaders being raised.
- For the Church: Pray for Pastor Will’s father who is in the hospital due to pneumonia.
- Pastoral Search: Pray for the Senior Pastor candidate, Pastor Jason Law.
- Budget Meeting (November 6th): Pray for all the ministry departments for their events and budget planning for 2023.
- Building Project: (a) Pray for the safety of the workers; (b) For the community on Beckwith; (c) Smooth completion of the tasks in progress: HVAC, exterior and interior walls, and electrical works; and (d) The project team brothers as they are all very busy at their own work and families, while working hard to follow up with the contractors as well to control the costs. - Community: For COVID-19, pray for the government leaders as well as the essential workers.
- World: Pray for the war, people and churches in Ukraine. Also, pray for the MB Missionaries Maxym and Anya there. Updates from Missionary Greg Laing: Has returned from Lithuania safely and learned a lot about helping Ukraine refugees.
FAMILY NEWS

- Pastoral Itinerary: Pastor George Siu is on vacation October 10th to 30th, inclusive. You can contact Pastor Will or Deacon Alice Tsung in the meantime.
- Daylight Saving Time ends next Sunday (November 6th). Remember to adjust your clock backward by one hour before going to bed this Saturday (November 5th).
- Communion Next Week: Let us prepare our hearts and souls and minds for the Lord.
- The Pastoral Search Committee has accepted Pastor Jason Law as the Senior Pastor candidate. Arrangements will be made for preachings as well as fellowshiping with brothers and sisters in November. Pastor Jason’s resume is posted on the board. Please pray for Pastor Jason and family for their safe arrival in Vancouver in early November.
- 2023 Church Budget Meeting will be held online next Sunday (November 6th) at 2:30pm. Department Servant Leaders and Deacons are reminded to join the meeting, with 2023 budget submission by October 30th. Note: in order to help budget planning, please submit reimbursement claims ASAP.
- Missions: The 2022 budget is $42,000. As of August 31st, the mission offering received was $15,260, $26,740 short of the target. Pray for the Lord’s provision.
- Vancouver Island Short-Term Missions: The date has been changed to November 11th-13th (Fri-Sun). Give thanks for the participation from the brothers and sisters. Let’s pray for the preparation stage.
- Safety Guideline: For the safety of our church congregation, we will continue to require masks for indoor gatherings. Thank you for your cooperation. COVID-19 Safety Plan has been updated.
- EM Online Worship Service: We are planning to suspend the online worship starting November. Comments are welcome. Please contact Hilda Wong or Pastor Will.
