PRAY

  1. Speakers next week: Pastor Will (English), Pastor George (Chinese).
  2. For the Church: For Juliana and Pastor Will: Their calling to serve as long-term missionaries with OMF in Japan.
  3. For the people getting baptized on Thanksgiving Day: Mr. & Mrs. Yik. Also pray for the friends and families being invited.
  4. Pray for the Deacon Candidates: Alice Tsung, May Ng, Pearl Lin and Steven Lee.  Pray that God-fearing leaders will be chosen by the Lord.
  5. Pastoral Search: Pray for the Senior Pastor Candidate and for the Pastoral Search Committee (Steven Lee, Clara Chew, Hilda Wong, May Ng, and Wilson Chan, with Pastor George as Consultant).
  6. Building Project: (a) Pray for the safety of the workers; (b) For the community on Beckwith; (c) Smooth completion of the tasks in progress: HVAC, exterior and interior walls, and electrical works; and (d) The project team brothers as they are all very busy at their own work and families, while working hard to follow up with the contractors as well to control the costs.   1. Community: (a) For COVID-19, pray for the government leaders as well as the essential workers.  (b) For the municipal election on October 15th.
  2. World: Pray for the war, people and churches in Ukraine.  Also, pray for the MB Missionaries Maxym and Anya there.

 

FAMILY NEWS

  1. Welcome everyone to join our in-person/online worship.
  2. Communion Next Week: Let us prepare our hearts and souls and minds for the Lord.
  3. The Pastoral Search Committee has finished interviewing the two applicants who are interested in the Senior Pastor position and has selected one of them as the candidate.  Arrangements will be made for preachings as well as fellowshiping with brothers and sisters in November.  Please pray that PSC has the wisdom in seeking the Lord’s guidance.
  4. Deacon Election: After many prayers and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, four people have accepted as 2023-2024 deacon candidates: Alice Tsung, May Ng, Pearl Lin and Steven Lee.  Today (September 25th) is the Election Day.  The voting time goes till 1:15pm.  Counting of ballots will start at 1:15pm on September 25th.
  5. Thanksgiving Baptismal Joint Service is on October 9th at 11am.  Baptism: Arthur and Josephine Yik.  Next joint service is on November 13th.
  6. Worship Managerial Department is recruiting brothers and sisters to give rides to newcomers for church gatherings.  Contact Clinton Cheng if interested.
  7. Vancouver Island Short-Term Missions: We are planning to resume the short-term missions trips to Vancouver Island (Nanaimo – Campbell River), Date: November 12-14 (Saturday – Monday).  If interested, contact Becky Hui.
  8. Safety Guideline: For the safety of our church congregation, we will continue to require masks for indoor gatherings.  Thank you for your cooperation.
