PRAY

  1. Speakers next week: William Tan (Joint Service), Walton Pang (Interpreter).
  2. Missionaries S & S (Bible Translators): traveling to Asia for a few weeks to meet with the T believers on a Bible translation project.  Thank God for these T believers faithfully working for years getting the Bible translated into their own language.  Pray that many more will hear and read the Bible in their own language.  Pray for wisdom in understanding the source text.  Pray for this to be a time of not only checking the translation, but also one of encouraging one another.
  3. For the Church: (a) Pray for Derek Chan, his dad just passed away in HK.  He will need to fly back to HK.  Pray for his mother and the quarantine arrangement.  (b) Juliana and Pastor Will: Their calling to serve as long-term missionaries with OMF in Japan.
  4. Deacon Election: Pray for the Deacon Nominating Committee that God-fearing people will be nominated.
  5. Pastoral Search: Please pray for the process.
  6. EM Retreat: Pray for the camp, more people will join, and the speaker, Pastor Brandon Crain.
  7. Building Project: The safety of the workers and the completion of the project in 10-12 months. Take a look of the progress here:

  1. Community: For COVID-19, pray for the government leaders as well as the essential workers.
  2. World: Pray for the war, people and churches in Ukraine.  Also, pray for the MB Missionaries Maxym and Anya there.

 

FAMILY NEWS

  1. Welcome everyone to join our in-person/online worship.
  2. Pastoral Itinerary: Pastor George is on vacation July 10th to August 7th, inclusive.
  3. Baptism & Membership: If you would like to advance your faith to the next milestone, contact Pastor Will.  Here you can find the Baptismal form and the Membership form.  Note: Teens under 16 year-old need parental consent.  Baptismal Class starts on August 7th and Membership Class on August 28th.
  4. Next Sunday Joint Service at 11am.  Next joint service is on September 18th.
  5. EM Retreat Coming Up! September 2nd – 5th, 2022 @ Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre.  Registration form can be found here.  There will be no EM Worship on September 4th at Matthew McNair Secondary.  You are encouraged to join the worship at Loon Lake Lodge.
  6. Safety Guideline: For the safety of our church congregation, we will continue to require masks for indoor gatherings. Thank you for your cooperation.

  1. OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES

  1. The 60th annual CCWC Winter Conference (https://www.cccwc.ca/) will be held this year from December 27-31, 2022 at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel located in Richmond.  The theme will be United: All For Jesus (John 17:20-23).  Registration opens August 15th.  Please contact Hilda Wong for any inquiries.
