PRAY

  1. Speakers next week: Pastor Will (English), Pastor George (Chinese).
  2. For the Church: (a) Pray for Vicky Lam: After discussing with her family and specialists, Vicky will take oral medicines instead of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  (b) Don’s mother had a bleeding in the brain during the flight transfer in Singapore two weeks ago.  Alice is on her way to join Don in Singapore to help the grandmother.  Pray for her recovery and their safety.  (c) Juliana and Pastor Will: Their calling to serve as long-term missionaries with OMF in Japan.  Pray for the acceptance from the Japan OMF office, medical check, psychological assessment, and prayer and vision sharing.
  3. Pastoral Search: Please pray for the process.
  4. Building Project: The safety of the workers and the completion of the project in 10-12 months. Take a look of the progress here:

  1. Community: For COVID-19, pray for the government leaders as well as the essential workers.
  2. World: Pray for the war, people and churches in Ukraine.  Also, pray for the MB Missionaries Maxym and Anya there.

FAMILY NEWS

  1. Welcome everyone to join our in-person/online worship.
  2. Communion Next Week: Let us prepare our hearts and souls and minds for the Lord.
  3. Safety Guideline: Even Dr. Bonnie Henry mentioned the mask requirement is lifted, for the safety of our church congregation, we will continue to require masks for indoor gatherings.  Thank you for your cooperation.
  4. 2022 Deacons Nominating Committee (DNC) is being set up with two current deacons, two church members, and the appointed pastor.  Pastor Will has been appointed to chair the DNC, with deacon representatives Alice Tsung and Hilda Wong.  According to the church bylaws, all recommendations of DNC Church Member representatives must come from 2 church members (not from the same or related families).  Recommendations are to be emailed to Pastor Will (william.hui@rpgmbc.org) by June 12th.
  5. Church Picnic: This year’s church picnic will be held on Saturday, July 2nd from 9:30am to 3:30pm at Deas Island Regional Park in Delta (6090 Deas Island Rd, Delta).  Sign up before June 12th to receive Early Bird price $15 ($10 for children under 14 and seniors over 65).  Regular price $20 per person ($15 for children and seniors).  Deadline to sign up is June 19th.  Sign up through your fellowship leaders or contact Kelvin or Justin after worship.  Family and friends are welcome!
