PRAY

  1. Speakers next week: Pastor Will (English), Pastor George (Chinese).
  2. Changed Life Center (Thailand): Praise the Lord for four students who received baptism last week.  Pray for their growth in faith.
  3. For the Church: (a) Pray for the Lord’s healing on Jerome & Amy after the car accident.  (b) For Vinson’s rehab, and pray for the family as well.
  4. Pastoral Search: Please pray for the process.
  5. Building Project: The safety of the workers and the completion of the project in 10-12 months.
  6. Community: Pray for the protection against the COVID-19, and pray for the government leaders as well as the essential workers.

 

FAMILY NEWS

  1. Welcome everyone to join our online worship.
  2. Pastoral Itinerary: Pastor Will will be on vacation from February 2nd to February 3rd.
  3. Worship Service Arrangement: As COVID-19 situation is still in severity, Sunday services will still be held online in February.  Future arrangements will be announced by the end of February.  Pray for the brothers, sisters and speaker to participate in the live broadcast at McNair Secondary School.
  4. Communion Next Week: Let us prepare our hearts and souls and minds for the Lord.  To observe Communion at home, please solemnly prepare unleavened bread/skyflakes/bread pieces, and grape juice before the service next Sunday.  Here is the link to an unleavened bread recipe: https://www.alyonascooking.com/unleavened-bread-matzah/
  5. Family Meeting (February 6th, 2:30pm, on Zoom) will update the building progress and finance.  Zoom link is the same as the EM Worship Zoom, which will be posted on the fellowship/cell groups.
  6. Baptism & Membership: If you would like to advance your faith to the next milestone, contact Pastor Will.  Here you can find the Baptismal form and the Membership form.  Note: Teens under 16 year-old need parental consent.  Baptismal Class starts on February 6th and Membership Class on February 27th.
  7. Pastoral Search Committee is formed, with members: Pastor George, two deacons: May Ng and Hilda Wong, and three church members: Steven Lee, Wilson Chan and Clara Chew. Positions: (1) Senior Pastor, (2) Cantonese Ministry Pastor.
  8. Sunday Prayer Meetings will be held online from 10am to 10:40am in January.  The Zoom link will be posted on the fellowship Facebook groups.

  1. City of Richmond Adopt-A-Street Program: We have adopted Beckwith Road where our new church site is at.  Let us keep the area clean and safe through garbage picking and snow shovelling during snow seasons.  This activity will be ongoing every two weeks (on either Saturdays or Sundays).  Please sign up at https://tinyurl.com/yyu4ctvt.  For social media, feel free to tag #prayforchurch.  If you have any questions, please contact William KC Chan or Gabriel Lai.  Due to the rise of COVID, please go individually or per family unit.
