  2. For the Church: (a) Pray for Andrew Law’s recovery from surgery after the bike accident and his family.  (b) Pray for Mrs. So (Philip So’s mother) recovery from pelvic fracture after the fall and pacemaker surgery; Pray for Philip and family.  (c) Pray for the Lord’s healing on Jerome & Amy after the car accident.  (d) Pray for Vinson’s physio / rehab, and pray for the family as well.
  3. Pray for the Deacon Candidate: Hilda Wong.  Pray that God-fearing leaders will be chosen by the Lord.
  4. EPIC Camp: Pray for the teens camp on Sept 3rd to 6th at Loon Lake.  Pray for the safety and the speaker, Pastor Jon Luesink.
  5. Building Project: Site cleaning has started.  Pray for the completion of the project in 10-12 months.
  6. Our Country: Pray for the federal election on September 20th.
  7. Community: Pray for the protection against the COVID-19, and pray for the government leaders as well as essential workers.
  8. National Pray for Afghanistan.

  2. New EM Sermon Series: We are starting a new sermon series, “Connected,” based on The Lord’s Prayer. Let us keep connected with Jesus!
  3. Deacon Election this year will be held online.  Eligible voters (active church members, 19 years or older on September 26th) must register for online voting via the following link:  Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with the profile of the deacon nominee.  Note that the registered name must be identical to the name used for signing in on election day.  Due to the shortage of accepted nominations, the board has decided to decrease the number of deacons for 2022 from 5 to 4.  The existing deacons who will be in the second year of their first term in Year 2022 are: Alice Tsung, May Cheng, and Pearl Lin.  The 2022-2023 deacon candidate is Hilda Wong.  The voting link will be emailed to all eligible registered members on September 10th (Friday).  The voting dates are September 12th, 19th and 26th, with voting time 12:30pm – 2pm.  If you have any questions during the voting periods, please contact the Deacon Nominating Committee during the voting time at 604-303-5831.
  4. EM Sunday school classes will resume in person on September 12th at 9:00am.
  5. In-person Worship will resume on September 12th, 11am at McNair Secondary School and with live streaming at the same time.
  6. Missions Weekend (Sept. 17th-19th): God is making a new way to evangelise!
    • Missions Workshops will be held over Zoom on September 17th, 7:30pm-9pm.  There will be two Cantonese workshops (Marketplace Evangelism by Pastor Chapman, and Rural STM by CCM) & one English (How to Share the Gospel by Evelyn Tan from P2C) for brothers and sisters to choose from.  Zoom ID is 836 3446 6608.  Meeting passwords will be shared through cell groups or you can contact the church office.
    • Joint Missions Sunday will be held at McNair (in-person and streaming) on September 19th at 11am, with Pastor Chapman Fu (Vine Church, Alpha HK).
    • Church Prayer Meeting (in-person) at 10am on Sept 19th: we have Brother Por to share his experience in Small Town, BC at the prayer meeting.
    • In addition, there is a plan for a prayer walk on either Saturday (18th) morning or Sunday (19th) afternoon, if weather permits.

City of Richmond Adopt-A-Street Program: We have adopted Beckwith Road where our new church site is at.  Let us keep the area clean and safe through garbage picking and snow shovelling during snow seasons.  This activity will be ongoing every two weeks (on either Saturdays or Sundays).  The next event will be garbage picking and held on September 12, 2:30pm.  Please sign up at  If you have any questions, please contact William KC Chan
